The polls are closed!
I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the answer to the question,"Who made Carl the heart shaped egg?" I'm sure many of you have been checking in everyday to follow the poll (yeah right). Well in any case, out of the 15 people that were polled, there was a tie between Mia (33%) and Brandon (33%). Only 2 (13%) of you, believe that my Mom made the mystery egg and 3 (20%) feel that I love myself enough to actually make it for myself (which i do). An interesting note is that not one of you out there thought that my sister, Kim made it for me. HMMM. So may I have the envelope please! -drum roll here...
The maker of the lovingly crafted and sculpted, heart shaped mystery egg is......
BRANDON!!!!
What can I say, as far as brother in laws go...we are close.
So thanks all for voting! It was fun and look forward to more puzzling polls and curious conundrums.
But before you go, answer this, "If you could make a heart shaped egg for anyone in the world, who would it be?"
Tumble on,

Levis button fly commercial 1989
Well it was just a matter of time before this ended up on the net. It seems like so long ago since I did this commercial. For those of you that do not remember this commercial, it was one of the first series of Levi's 501 commercials that were directed by Spike Lee. I remember seeing a commercial on MTV that asked "what do you do in your 501's?". There was a number at the end so I called. The next thing I know I get a phone call from some studio that says they want to meet me and film me flying my kites! So I say cool. About a week or two later, two people come down to Miami and basically hang with me and my friends as we fly these kites on Crandon Beach. They film us and tell us that they will "keep in touch". About a week later I get a call from Spike Lee's offices telling me that Spike wants to come down and film me for the commercial. CRAZY HUH!
So on the day that we are supposed to shoot, my friends, Erin, Eddie, Frank, Bridgette, and Pete come along with me. We got the Hollywood treatment, a mobile home, wardrobe (although I wore my own clothes and they paid me for each personal piece), craft service and all. It was cool. So anyways, as we are hangin out, my friends and I are cutting up as we always do and they get such a kick out of us that they end up putting everyone in the commercial. The rest is Levi's 501 history.
Man the good old days. BTW, I still have the kites and the 501 shirt. Good thing I dont have the hat and the haircut anymore!

Video Test: Chinatown NYC
This is a test to see if the video upload works. In case you were wondering, this is some grainy footage of Chinese New Year in Chinatown, NYC. The video clip was taken during our trip to NYC in 2003. Chinatown was incredibly packed with people celebrating the New Year. Then again, it's always packed. The clip above is of a store "feeding" the lucky lion (or is it a dragon? If you know please comment) an offering of money so that he may honor her place of business with good luck and prosperity.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Yes, another year has gone by for the two of us. In case you didn't know, Agi and I share the same birthday. Cool huh! Thanks to all that gave us a call to wish a happy day. We spent our birthday sleeping in and really just enjoying chillin out together. The weather today was a bit cold and rainy so it was perfect snuggle weather. Dad came by to drop off some stuff along with our birthday gift a "Shark Steam Floor Cleaner" (it's actually quite awesome). We were able to have a late lunch with Dad at "Chef Creole" a local Haitian food place that was recently featured on Anthony Bourdain's show "No Reservations." Agi got the Shrimp in Creole sauce, Dad got the Oxtail and I ordered Chef Ken's famous Fried Conch. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Later on in the evening we had dinner with two of my oldest friends, Raul and Erin. For those of you who have known me for a while, you know these two. We had a great time reminiscing over Thai food and some delicious "Thai Iced Tea". If you've never had a Thai Iced Tea, you better go try one immediately. Your not living until you have had one.
So now we are back home and I am writing this blog entry before I turn in. I'm looking forward to this year. Another year of just tumbling along.
