Sesame Street Fridays

Welcome to Sesame Street Friday. Check in with my blog every Friday to see an old school clip from Classic Sesame Streets!

I totally remember John John from back in the day. I love Sesame Street! I can remember wondering to myself as a kid in NYC, "where is Sesame Street?" Enjoy and learn!

Doggie Camoflage

Can you find the dogs in this picture? Here is Maxine (white one) and Ripley (brown one) doing their best to blend into the environment. If it wasn't for the collars they just might have succeeded! Gotta love 'em!

Heading home!

Back in Reagan Airport. Despite the look on my face, I am really happy to be going home. After checking out of the hotel, I went to the Museum of Natural History. I felt like a kid again seeing all the dinosaur fossils and stuff. I can't wait to take my future kids to the museum.
I have awhile before my flight. I just ate a spinach stromboli. The garlic breath is kickin'! Good thing I bought some gum!

Chinatown

Gateway to Chinatown. I'm on my way to an Afghan resturant with some fellow conventionists. It's pretty cold tonight but at least it's not raining!

Time standing still

Well it is the third day of the conference and time seems to be standing still. Actually it is not that bad. It continues to be cold outside but now it is rainy and icy. Several people have slipped and fallen outside of the conference center and it is kinda freaking some people out (mostly the older folks, so it understandable).

The conference is going well despite its obvious "political" spin of the past couple of days. However, I am looking forward to some of the workshops today. It is always good to get concrete and learn something rather than listen to political rhetoric all day. "Preventionists" have a tendency to "preach to the choir" regarding the obvious reasons we are all here, but oh well.

I've met some cool folks since I have been here. Coincidentally, many have been from the West Coast. This has been good as I have been picking their brains about job opportunities and life out west. One dude I have been hanging with actually wants to try and keep in touch and hook me up out there with some of his contacts! The Tumbleweed Tour continues!

Anyway, gotta go. Things to learn and people to meet.

Tumble on,

Opening Plenary with Dr. Drew

First real day of conference. Started at 8 with continental breakfast. Not too bad, simple and coffee was decent. Now listening to Dr. Drew (of "Loveline" fame). He is actually really good! Next stop, back to Capitol Hill for big rally. Hope I stay warm.

Danny's Mindstorms NXT Rubik Cube Solver

Well it's been awhile since my last post. All is well. Just been super busy. I'm going to Washington DC on Monday for work. Not looking forward to it cause I'm going for work rather than play. I will try to post from up there.

In the meantime, check out the vid I found of a crazy Rubik's cube solving machine. What ever happened to peeling off the stickers or prying the cube apart with a screwdriver? You kids these days got it so easy...

Question: How far have you solved a Rubik's cube? Without cheating that is....
