Sushi's BDAY!!!!
Hello!
Spent the weekend in West Palm Beach for my niece's 3rd birthday. I am going to let some of the pictures from the day show how much fun we all had. We all had a great time watching Mia and her guests enjoy swimming in the pool, a bounce house, tattoos (stick on kind) and even snow cones! All the grown ups got awesome Philippino food thanks to Nana Rachel! I ate so much food that I can't even think about it again without feeling full. But best of all, Nana Cheryl and Cousin Taylor (aka Tay Tay) were able to come all the way from Washington to enjoy the awesome weekend with us!
Enjoy the pics! Now where is the alka seltzer?
Mia going for the gold in the Bounce House.
Me and Moms.
Sushi wearing the latest fashion, Tutu with Camelback. Who says you can't look great and stay hydrated at the same time!
Umm. No more cake for Dad.

So much to write...but not much to say
I just wrote down a lot of nothin'. Then deleted it. And this is my second attempt at trying to write somethin' and still comin' up with nothin'. (sigh).
So I guess I'll just let the gods of "Writers Block" have their way with me tonight.
But before I go, I will make this promise to those of you who actually visit my humble little place on the web. I promise to post on the following:
- My new career as a personal trainer
- Our awesome trip to Seattle, WA and Portland, OR.
- Anything that pertains to our relocation to the above mentioned cities.
- Anything else that is funny, challenging and otherwise part of my ongoing tumbling.
Until then...Tumble on,
C.

Home
Well we are back in Miami now and trying to get back into the swing of things. To be honest, I think both Agi and I are kinda missing the Northwest already. But we are glad to be home with our girls. Both of us are feeling a little under the weather, but are recovering. I started back in the gym and it does feel good to be working with my clients.
It just started raining, and the doggies are sleeping at our feet. It does feel good to be home.

Good Morning Portland
We have been in Portland now for the last three days. I actually took
this picture on the first morning we were here. It was taken from the
famous "Powell's Bookstore". But despite when I took the picture, it
pretty much sums up our morning activities.

Another day, another lesson
We are here at the dog park. It's a beautiful day. Breezy and warm.
Girls are gonna sleep good tonight. I was in a pretty deep funk
yesterday (sorry Agi). I feel pretty bad about that. But being outside
today is clearing out the fog. Thanks for being you, Babe. I
appreciate you very much. I love you. Thanks hurricane Ike for
creating a beautiful day. Thanks Ripley and Max for showing me what
unconditional love looks like. Gotta go, Max just brought back the
ball. I guess there are some conditions...

Mobile post test.
This a test of my mobile post set up. I got an iPhone (awesome)
recently and I am reconfiguring everything. It's amazing how dependent
we have become on our phones. It's to the point that getting a new
phone seems to involve all the adjustments and compromises of starting
a new relationship!

we have become on our phones. It's to the point that getting a new
phone seems to involve all the adjustments and compromises of starting
a new relationship!
Anyhow, let's see if this works. It has been a awhile since I have
posted anything but my home computer really sucks and it has a way if
taking away all inspiration. Hopefully my new phone will fill the void
somehow.
I almost forgot. I took the picture above with my phone. It's called
"Putting caution to the wind".

Freestyle Heads Unite!
We just got back from Power 96's Freestyle Invasion concert. Enjoy this short clip of "Silent Morning," by Noel (funny 'cause I used to think he said Silent Warning). I took the video with my phone so its hard to see Noel himself. I was a lot of fun, chock full of memories of Miami circa 1986-89. OUCH! Now where my Z Cavarecchis at?

Better late than never! (v.2)
Here are pics from our last dinner with our good friends, Fanless, Balou and Raul. We had a great dinner at "Shucker's Bar and Grill", a local favorite for good 'ole fashioned bar food and an awesome view.
Sorry it took so long to post guys! Indian food next?

Look ma...no hands!
Not that you need any reason to go to Disney...But this weekend we went to Disney for three awesome reasons:
1. Mia's first trip to Disney
2. My Mom's birthday
3. My Brother's birthday
As you can see from the picture above, we had a great time. It was awesome being with the family acting silly and being kids again. We were there for three days. Spent one day at Magic Kindom and one day at Animal Kingdom. The picture above is from the new ride, "Expedition Everest". There is so much to tell about the trip, but instead check out the slideshow on the right.

...and I thought I always wanted and "Armani" suit!
Agi and I just got back from watching "IRON MAN". Go see it! It's lots of fun, not too over the top, with just enough action so you want more. It's well acted. Robert Downey is Tony Stark. But most important...the suit is BADASS!!!!!
So in honor of my fav comic from back in the day...I thought I'd represent with an old school pic of IRON MAN.

Another day at the office...
I wanted to post some pictures of the latest event I did for work. In case you didn't know, from 9 to 5, I am the Coalition Coordinator for the Miami Beach Coalition for a Safe and Drug Free Community. That is my day job. Some of you may have even heard me moan and groan about it. But there are high points to the job! One of which is when I get to work directly with the kids and with the dedicated people that serve and mentor those kids everyday.
Here are some pictures of my last event called the "Teen TalkAbout" which we did for Alcohol Awareness month. The theme was "Show Love for Anti-Drug". It was held at the North Shore Park & Youth Center on Miami Beach. Most of the real hard work was done by Willie Priegues, an incredibly dedicated and super cool guy. He is the Director of the "Teen Club" which offers after school programming for Miami Beach kids. The event hosted about 400 kids (yes 400). We had guest speakers, a Q&A session and then a dance. It was really fun. No problems at all with the kids. Although I can say it was a good thing Willie had his Teen Club staff there cause lets just say...kids dance crazy now a days! Talk about "get low" and "scrub da ground" or "poak chop" whatever these crazy kids dancing now! Ask Agi! She was there too! We were cracking up!
You may be wondering who did the graffiti art. I am not supposed to say who did the amazing graffiti art for us but I can say that it was done by a very famous, or should I say infamous graffiti artist from Miami. Some of you old schoolers probably have an idea who he is. Anyway, as you can see, the kids signed the piece as their pledge to "Show Love to Anti Drugs". They loved it.
Anyhow enjoy...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!
Happy Birthday Kim! Your lucky this is the most embarrassing video I could find on my computer! Actually it may be more embarrassing for Patrick (singing) or my Uncle Ernie (dancing). Anyway for those of you watching...Kim is the one dancing in the middle next to Joy (also singing). WORK IT!!!

I love Sundays
Well it's been a while since I actually posted something that wasn't a silly video. Nonetheless hope you like them.
Had a great morning today. Agi and I went riding at Amelia Earhart Park. We had a great ride. Agi did friggin awesome! She is starting to feel a little more comfortable on the trails with the bike. Thanks to our sponsor, "Fanless," Agi has been riding on some platform pedals rather than the clipless and it has been much easier for her out on the trial. I got such a kick out of watching her clear the technical sections of the trail. Then I realized, "DAMN! I forgot the camera!" Man, I'm slippin.
So now we are home and getting ready to run out again and do some errands on Miami Beach. This time we'll take the doggies with us!
I love Sundays that feel like you have really lived the full day.

Kayaking with the Beightol's!
Today we went kayaking with the Beightol's on Oleta River. Our river guide, Sushi, is pictured above. She is enforcing some "no wake" waterway rules on some kids on jet skis! Punks!

Someone's been sleeping in my bed...
...and they are still there! We got Ripley a new crate the other day 'cause she was getting a bit naughty while we we at work. She seems to have gotten a taste for paper. Her new drug of choice includes anything paper; specifically mail, paper towels and even books! She even ate one of my old bird watching field guides! So we decided to get her a new crate and as you can see she loves it! But she is not the only one that digs the new digs...as you can see, so does Max! All of my dogs have been crate trained and they really like having their own space. Although it seems that they also like to share!

Wanted: Easter picture needs caption...
Happy belated Easter everyone! Hope you all had as fun a day as I did. Agi and I went up my Aunt's house for Easter and boy was it LOUD! Then again it always is in my family. We had a great time eating and playing Rockband and watching the kids run around high on Easter candy!
If you are noting the time of this post, you are probably wondering "Hey should'nt Carl be working?" Well you're right, I should be working. Unfortunaltey, I am having car trouble and I am waiting for a tow. Ironically, I was going to drop my car off at the shop today and "boom" here I am. So I thought I would be productive and post a little something while I wait. At least I am at home.
Have a great day everyone!
But before you go, write a caption for the picture above.
